Hi I’m Connie. I got my name from being such a caring momma cat. I was just a kitten myself. I brought each kitten one by one to the home of a nice couple who took us all in. My kittens were all adopted and now I’m ready too. I am a very easy going girl. I love a warm bed and a nice pet. Being a young adult I still love to play. I’m not fond of dogs right now. They scare me after living outside. I would do well with a family with kids or a single person works too. Give me a chance and you won’t be disappointed.

We are foster home based. View our pets on AdoptaPet.com or at our adoption events Saturdays and Sundays 12-3pm at PetSmart in Prosper.

Submit Application

Complete our application at texascares.org/adopt

Approve Application

Once your application is approved, we ask you to sign the adoption agreement and pay a nominal fee.

Texas CARES' cats and kittens ARE NOT FOR SALE.
Cats and kittens are adopted by completing an adoption application that will be reviewed by the Texas CARES volunteer staff. Potential adopter(s) will be notified of the status of their application. This process can take 48-72 hours. Applications for adoption can be obtained from a Texas CARES volunteer or found on our website: http://www.texascares.org/adopt Adoption fees may be tax deductible donations.

More about this rescue

Texas CARES is a non-profit, no-kill animal welfare organization. Our all-volunteer group provides shelter and veterinary care for homeless and unwanted cats and kittens in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth and surrounding areas.

Our cats and kittens are rescued from local "kill" shelters and desperate public situations. All are cared for in foster homes until they are adopted.

Texas CARES was established in 1992 and is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. All of Texas CARES' funding comes from donations and fundraising events.
