Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet the Tumbler Quartet 🐾
Thimble, Thumble, Thumblina, and Thistle were dropped off at the county shelter in very poor condition and were quickly pulled by Small Lives Matter Kitten Rescue. This litter of four arrived sickly and underweight, suffering from upset tummies and sore little bottoms—which may explain why they initially avoided anything soft, warm, or snuggly. Despite their rough start, their spirits never dimmed.
From day one, these kittens were thrilled to be safe. They immediately sought comfort by perching on their human fosters, soaking up connection and reassurance. Born on September 25, 2025, they earned their special names because they are tiny somersault geniuses—true little tumblers. They roll, flop, and play in an almost slow-motion, endearing way that makes everyone smile.
These kittens purred the instant they arrived at rescue and still begin purring as soon as you walk into the room. They are exceptionally social, affectionate, and people-oriented. Though they are a bit smaller than typical for their age due to being unwell early on, they are thriving now and sharing space with another famously social group of kittens—only adding to their confidence and charm.
Thumblina (female)
Thumblina is a tiny black kitten with a beautiful white locket on her chest. Slightly fluffier than her siblings, she stands out with her expressive face and sweet, thoughtful demeanor. She’s gentle, observant, and deeply connected to her people.
Thistle (female)
Thistle is a stunning silver-coated girl who truly loves to be loved. She is affectionate, outgoing, and impossible to overlook with her striking beauty and warm personality.
Thumble (male)
Thumble is a brownish-black boy with a curious nature. He often cocks his head as if carefully listening to what you’re saying—and he’s every bit the love bug he appears to be.
Thimble (male)
Thimble is the largest of the group, a handsome black boy with a slightly more laid-back vibe. Calm and cuddly, he enjoys relaxing just as much as playtime.
These kittens have a beautiful group dynamic—no one is in charge, and they respect each other equally. They play wonderfully together, balancing joyful energy with calm affection once playtime winds down. Because of their close bond and social nature, they would do best adopted in pairs.
This litter is a perfect blend of playful, gentle, and loving—ready to bring warmth and joy to their forever homes.
We have dozens of cats and kittens available! All our adoptable cats are located at the Frisky Cat Cafe in St Augustine. 1092 Ponce De Leon Blvd (US 1). Visiting the cafe is a great way to find your perfect kitty. All of our cats and kittens are socialized and happy to interact with visitors, so you will meet them with their true personalities.

We are a foster based rescue. Our kitties are raised in loving foster homes, so they are socialized, love people and have good potty habits. Some are already adjusted to busy households with dogs, other adult cats and children. Please send us an inquiry and we will schedule a meet and greet.

More about this rescue
Small Lives Matter Kitten Rescue
We are a foster based rescue providing home care havens for kittens in need.
We are a 501(c)3 charitable organization supported by a network of volunteer fosters. We provide urgent care to neonate and sick kittens in need of life saving support.
We provide a haven to kittens until they are thriving and ready for spay and neuter surgery and then adoption.
Kittens under eight weeks old are one of the most at-risk populations in the United States, being killed or allowed to die by the hundreds of thousands every year. Our vision is that all neonatal, sick and other at-risk kittens are given a chance to grow and thrive through life-saving fosters and then adoption. Join us in the fight to stop euthanasia of orphaned kittens and share our dream that one day animals will no longer be killed in America's shelters. We believe every life is important, no matter how small.
We need everyone's help with our mission. There are many ways you can help. Please donate, volunteer to foster or adopt today!!
