Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Aspen, a 2-year-old Siberian Husky who’s as resilient as he is adorable.
This little 35-lb bundle of fluff was surrendered to the shelter when his family lost their home and could no longer keep him in their apartment. Heartbroken and battling a severe upper respiratory infection, Aspen landed on the euthanasia list. Our rescue pulled him just in time. With lots of love, medicine, and rest, he made a full recovery and is now healthy, neutered, fully vaccinated, and bursting with life again.
Aspen is the sweetest, most playful boy you’ll ever meet. He’s tiny for his breed mix, with those striking Husky eyes and a soft, thick coat that begs for pets. He loves nothing more than curling up right next to you for cuddles and gentle nuzzles, or heading out for a happy walk where his tail never stops wagging. He’s wonderful with kids, gets along beautifully with other dogs, and has the perfect gentle-yet-energetic personality for family life.
After everything he’s been through, Aspen deserves a soft place to land forever. He’s ready, to quite literally, fall into your lap and love you with his whole heart. Could you be his new beginning? ?

Our Adoption Process
We're thrilled you're considering adopting from us! Bringing a new pet into your home is an exciting journey, and we're here to make it as smooth and joyful as possible. Our process is designed to ensure the best match for both you and your future companion, prioritizing their happiness and well-being.
Step 1: Browse and Find Your Match
Start by exploring our available pets online or visiting our shelter in person. Take your time to read their profiles, view photos, and learn about their personalities, needs, and backgrounds. If something catches your eye, note their name or ID—we update listings regularly!
Step 2: Visit and Interact
Come meet the pets you're interested in during our open hours. Spend time playing, cuddling, or walking to see if it's a great fit. We encourage bringing family members (including kids) and any current pets for introductions, especially dogs, to help ensure everyone gets along.
Step 3: Adoption Counseling
Chat with one of our friendly adoption counselors. We'll discuss the pet's medical history, behavior insights, and any special needs. This is your chance to ask questions, share details about your home and lifestyle, and get tips on training, care, and settling in.
Step 4: Complete the Application
Fill out a simple adoption application (available on-site or online in advance). We'll review it quickly, often the same day. Be ready with ID, proof of address, and any landlord approval if you're renting.
Step 5: Finalize and Take Home
Once approved, pay the adoption fee (which covers spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and more), sign the agreement, and welcome your new family member home—usually the very same day!
Adoptions are first-come, first-served, and we don't place holds, so visit soon if you've found "the one." If things don't work out, we're here with support and a return policy.
Ready to start? Check our adoptable pets today—we can't wait to help you find your perfect companion!

More about this rescue
At our rescue, we are deeply committed to saving lives by pulling animals from overcrowded public shelters, where limited space and resources often lead to heartbreaking euthanasia for healthy, adoptable pets. By transferring these deserving dogs and cats into our foster-based care, we provide them with the individualized attention, medical treatment, and rehabilitation they need to thrive—far beyond what many shelters can offer due to capacity constraints. This vital work not only gives each animal a second chance at a loving forever home through our careful adoption process but also frees up critical space in shelters, allowing them to save even more lives. Choosing to rescue from shelters means combating pet overpopulation at its source, reducing unnecessary euthanasia, and ensuring every animal we place is matched with a family where they can flourish.
