My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tuttle, a brown tabby with a gentle heart and an observant little spirit. At first, Tuttle prefers to watch the room from a cozy safe spot, quietly taking in the vibes like a tiny furry lookout. Soft voices, slow movements, and a little patience go a long way here.

Give Tuttle a bit of time and you will see the sweet part emerge. The cautious curiosity turns into little steps closer, then a friendly hello, then the kind of companionship that feels extra special because you earned it. If you love a shy cat who blossoms into a loyal, affectionate friend, Tuttle is ready to find a calm home where it is safe to come out of that shell.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
