Charleston (aka Charlie) is an adorable 8-week-old chocolate-colored pup with the prettiest blue-green eyes and a heart full of love and curiosity. He’s happiest when he’s close to his person and will gently tug at your pant leg just to say, “Hey, don’t forget me!” Ear rubs are his absolute favorite, and he’ll reward you with the cutest little grunting sound that melts your heart.
Smart and inquisitive, Charlie listens well and loves exploring his world. Playtime with his siblings is pure joy, but nothing beats being near his human. With his sweet nature and playful spirit, Charlie is sure to be the perfect companion for life’s adventures.
Charlie will be ready to go home the week of January 12nd. He will have 2 distemper/parvo vaccines, deworming, microchip, and be neutered.
Charlie's mother was a purebred Boykin Spaniel and his dad was a medium sized chocolate colored mixed breed.

Charlie is located in a foster home. We are happy to coordinate a meet & greet for pre-approved adopters. To get started, please submit an adoption application at www.jasperslegacy.org/apply-to-adopt
Adoption process:
Potential adopters complete our online application. From there, we contact them to continue the screening process including checking references, vet checks, and a personal phone interview. Upon completion, potential adopters are pre-approved.
From there, potential adopters are put in touch with the foster parent(s) of the dog they are interested in adopting. If a specific dog is not in mind, admins will make suggestions based on who we feel will be good candidates for their home. We take the foster's opinions into high consideration when determining ideal fit for an adoption.
Once the dog is determined to be a good fit for the adoptive home, the adopter is given advisement on decompression, training, safety gear, and future preventative vetting. The adoption contract is signed and adoption fee paid to finalize the adoption.
