My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Charlie! 🐾
-Your future adventure buddy with whiskers! 🧡🐾

This handsome tabby boy is bursting with personality and confidence. Friendly, affectionate, and delightfully talkative, Charlie loves being right in the middle of the action and makes it clear he expects to be included in everything you do.

Charlie is the definition of an adventure kitty. 🌄 He enjoys stroller rides, walking on a harness and leash, and would thrive with someone excited to take him hiking, camping, or exploring the great outdoors (safely and supervised, of course!). When he’s indoors, you’ll find him batting around feather wands, watching the world from the window, or proudly riding along in a cat pouch as you move about the house.

At night, Charlie turns into a total lovebug. 💕 He adores having a sleep buddy and often curls up by your head or chest, gently rubbing his face against yours and asking for kisses. He’s extremely social, fearless, and curious, with a mischievous sparkle that keeps life fun and entertaining. Charlie is expressive and knows how to communicate his needs — he’s got opinions, charm, and just a little extra spice.

Charlie’s journey hasn’t always been easy. After living outdoors and being overlooked by a local shelter, despite his friendly nature, he’s now ready for the indoor life he always deserved. 🏡 He will do best with a patient adopter who appreciates his bold personality, respects his boundaries when he’s had enough stimulation, and is eager to give him lots of attention, enrichment, and adventure time.

** Charlie needs an indoor-only home with plenty of room to run around, cat trees to climb on, and toys to play with. He needs a patient family who will give him lots of love, attention, and playtime. **

We believe that Charlie would do best as the only cat in the home. It is possible that he could do well with another cat (or 2) who is confidant and with very slow, proper introductions, but Charlie would prefer to be the king of his home. We aren’t sure how he is with dogs because he hasn’t spent enough time with any. He would do well with respectful, older children and he is litter box trained.

If you’re looking for a confident, affectionate, dog-like cat who wants to be your sidekick in life, Charlie may be your perfect match! 🐕➡️🐈

More about this rescue

Friends of Community-Cats Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization, with an incredible team of volunteers, dedicated to rescuing and saving the lives of cats and kittens in need. We are based out of Davis County, Utah and we help many of our local and surrounding shelters.
We take in the abandoned, abused, unwanted, neglected, geriatric, neonatal, sick, injured and cats who are often overlooked or struggling at shelters. The cats/kittens then go into foster homes, and as needed, we get the cats medical care, rehabilitation and bring them back to health and prepare them for adoption. We have a great adoption/foster program in which we spay/neuter, vaccinate and microchip the cats and kittens before placing them into loving, adoptive homes.
We also care for many special needs cats, hospice cats, special needs/senior feral cats who can’t be released outdoors and other cats with needs that essentially make them “unadoptable”. Those kitties stay in our program as permanent fosters, so they will always get the care that they need.
We participate in Trap-Neuter-Return for community cats. We provide food, shelters and medical care for dozens of community-cats daily. We also assist low-income families with medical care and food for their animals as we are able to.
We are 100% volunteer and foster based and rely on donations from the community to care for the animals in our organization. We mostly focus on cats, however we do help other animals as well when we are able, such as dogs, small animals and livestock.
Our director, Kali Cristaudo, founded this organization in 2012. Since then, we have grown so much, formed an incredible team of volunteers and have saved thousands of lives. We will continue to save more and more lives every year!
