My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jinbe (black and tan)

Jinbe is people, dog, and cat friendly. He has been in foster care since he was born, and has been socialized extensively in a home environment. He is pretty chill for a pup, and has lower-energy with short bursts of activity.

His mom is a 35-lb long-and-low brindle scruffy with the sweetest demeanor. We estimate he will be a medium-large sized adult at 45-60 lbs.

As with all puppies, Jinbe will require time and patience, as well as training, to reach his full potential as a family dog. He currently sleeps in an x-pen, and using potty pads, but is ready to transition outside. For that, homes that have a private outdoor potty area will be preferred.

They will be scheduled to be spayed/neutered in the spring, so we will need applicants who can drive back to Eugene for the alter appointments (drop offs are typically 7:15 am).

To further inquire about Jinbe, submit an application.

Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with information about the next steps and setting up a Meet and Greet. Our process is not a “first come, first served” process. Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants to find the best fit for each adoptable dog and potential family. Filling out an application in no way guarantees you a dog or a response email as we get hundreds of applications and choose the best home for the dog.

Distemper/Parvo boosters,  and rabies shot, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery are included with the adoption fee.  You will also receive a PetSmart puppy packet with hundreds of dollars of savings, a FREE bag of food, 30 minute private training session with a certified dog trainer, and a free checkup at Banfield.

Potential adopters must live within 30 miles of Eugene, Oregon. If you live outside the 30 mile radius, still send us an email, as we will can make exceptions if the circumstances are optimal for the dog or puppy.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process begins with an online application, submitted via our website. We do not guarantee a response, but will reach out if we think that it's a good fit and then arrange for a meet and greet. We do not hold dogs for more than 48 hours for a meet and greet, and if the dog is scheduled to go to an adoption event it will not be held back. We do not transport dogs out of area. We do same-day adoptions at our meet and greet appointments and adoption events. We offer a one-week trial period to our adopters to make sure that things work out, and we encourage adopters to be familiar with the 3-3-3 rule for dogs. We also highly encourage puppy classes for our puppies, as training is very important in ensuring that dogs stay in their forever homes.
