Cutenut is a total wild card with a big personality to match his silly name! This playful little guy loves to play hard and is always on the move. He’s so determined to keep his favorite mouse toys that he’ll even walk on his hind legs to carry them away from other kittens—so clever that another kitten has learned his trick, and now they playfully steal toys from each other!
Cutenut is an enthusiastic explorer who enjoys climbing and checking out everything around him. When he first arrived, he was a bit territorial about food, but with patience and consistency, he’s made amazing progress. He no longer growls and now happily eats alongside others—he even enjoys pets during mealtime and will purr contentedly.
He has been raised around other cats, large dogs, and young children and does wonderfully with all of them. True to his name, Cutenut is as fun and unique as they come—and yes, our kids name the fosters, which is how he ended up with such a delightfully silly name!

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.
Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.
Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.
Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
