Meet Mashed Tater — but everyone calls him TATER!
Tater is a young Shiba Inu mix pup with a heart as big as his love for playtime. He came from an overcrowded household where he didn’t receive much one-on-one attention, so he can be a little shy when first meeting new people. Give him a little time, though, and his fun, affectionate personality comes shining through.
This active, happy pup loves his toys and especially enjoys playing with the other dogs in his foster home. He’s doing very well with housetraining and is crate trained, making him a great candidate for a smooth transition into his forever home. Tater gets along wonderfully with other dogs in his foster home (cats are unknown), and he absolutely adores his foster brother Dexter, a small doxie. The two are inseparable, which is why Tater truly MUST HAVE a home with another friendly dog to help him feel secure and happy.
After his neuter surgery, Tater showed off his best charm and earned a spot sleeping in bed with his foster mom — where he promptly snuggled in and went straight to sleep. It was a sweet glimpse of the loving companion he’s ready to be.
Tater is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He’s hoping the New Year brings him what he wants most of all — a permanent home filled with patience, play, and a canine buddy to call family.
Could Tater be the missing piece to your pack? â¨
