My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ASTRID is currently being fostered in TEXAS.
Astrid is approximately 1 1/2 years old and weighs 13 1/2 pounds. She is a terrier mix.
Astrid is very sweet, but a bit on the submissive side. She is great with other dogs, walks nicely on leash but is unsure of herself and not always confident.
She was a tad scared actually getting the leash and harness on but after that she did well.
Astrid is a bit of a nervous Nelly, but she warms up quickly. She learns new places, people and things fairly quickly as well.
She did nervous pee quite a lot her first two days here and I am assuming some of that will carry onto her new home but I promise after a couple days that does stop. She mostly does it while going to pick her up. She will roll over on her belly at that point. You should leave her alone for a couple minutes or just try to pick her up before she gets to belly up position, and then pick her up otherwise you will get peed on. 😆 Really that is her only quirk and it doesn’t last very long.
She is a very sweet girl, gentle but young and playful. Great with other animals and older kids however I would say no toddlers or very young hyper kids only because of her submissive nature, I think it would scare her a bit. I think she would be fine when she got to know them and I do not think that she would hurt a child however, I don’t think living with a 2 yr old 24-7 would be her cup of tea.
She is a great dog all around. Just give her a couple days to settle in. Once she settles into a new routine she bonds quickly with her new people and is much more comfortable and less nervous. It won’t take her long at all. ❤️
