Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Albus Dumbledore (Al to his friends) is truly a showstopper. Everywhere he goes, he turns heads and sparks the inevitable question: “What breed is he?” The honest answer is we don’t know but he is a terrier mix of some kind. He is about 4 years old and, oh yeah, he’s blind. That , but not to Al. It’s simply part of who he is—and it has not dimmed his spirits in the slightest. It will take him a while to learn his new environment and adjust to his new family, but once he feels comfortable, his joyful, confident personality shines through.
Al still has all the energy and enthusiasm of a puppy. His blindness does not slow him down—watch him run and play and you would never know, until he accidentally bumps into the back of your leg. He approaches life with curiosity and confidence, learning his surroundings quickly and fearlessly.
Al appears to have been previously house-trained. In his foster home, he has done very well using the bathroom outside when guided there, and given his intelligence, he would likely learn to use a dog door quickly. He has adapted impressively to his foster home, confidently navigating stairs going up and continuing to learn the layout of his environment as he gains experience.
This little guy has been neutered, is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. He is a resilient, affectionate dog who will thrive in a home ready to embrace his blindness and appreciate the extraordinary joy and companionship he brings.
