Meet Guava! This sweet one-year-old girl has overcome so much in her short life. After spending months neglected in a Southern California shelter, Guava was starting to shut down and listed for euthanasia. Thankfully, a San Diego-based foster saw her potential and gave her the second chance she deserved—and she's been thriving ever since!
At just under 40 pounds, Guava is the perfect size and has proven to be a quick learner. She's potty trained, crate trained, sleeps through the night in her bed, knows basic commands, and is wonderful with kids (she currently lives with them!). With moderate energy levels, Guava enjoys playing fetch and loves her chew toys, but she's equally happy snuggling with her people in the evening. After being confined for so long, Guava is still working on her leash skills and socialization, as the outside world can be overstimulating for her. With patience and consistency, she's making steady progress every day.

The ASR volunteer will help coordinate a play date between you and the foster so you can meet the pet.

We are a 100% volunteer based rescue and due to the large number of adoption applications we receive, we are unable to respond to each individual applicant.
