My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Allie!

Allie is a 12-year-young sweetheart who came to us as an owner surrender when her previous family could no longer care for her. Despite the change, she remains incredibly gentle, loving, and kind.

She has lived comfortably with the whole family, including grandkids, and does well with other dogs and cats. Allie is fully potty trained and enjoys having free roam of the house. Her favorite things include cuddling on the couch, watching movies, and being close to her people — she truly just wants to give and receive love.

Allie isn’t a fan of the crate and may bark when confined, but she does well outside of it. She can also be a bit of an escape artist, so a secure home is important.

If you’re looking for a calm, loyal senior who is past the chaos and ready for a lifetime of snuggles, Allie could be your perfect match.

All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough. If you're interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://www.sftsrescue.org/adoptable-dogs

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process prioritizes accessibility, equality, and inclusivity. An application can be completed online or in person, ensuring accessibility for all potential adopters. Additionally, our application is available in Spanish to cater to a diverse range of applicants.

Once an application is submitted and approved, we facilitate adoption meet-and-greets on-site at our shelter's adoption center. This allows potential adopters to interact with the animals they are interested in and make informed decisions about their adoption.

Overall, our adoption program is designed to make the process as smooth and inclusive as possible, ensuring that each animal finds a loving and permanent home.
