Maeve is a 3 month old, female, Domestic Short Hair kitten. She and her siblings were trapped from under a deck on a freezing night just before a major storm, and their journey since then has been one of healing and learning to trust.
Maeve is the most sensitive of the group and will need the most time to adjust in her new home. Patience, calm voices, and a quiet environment will help her feel safe. Once she begins to relax, her gentle personality peeks through, and it is incredibly rewarding to watch. She is looking for an adult only home with people who have experience with shy or semi feral kittens. A small, contained space to start will be essential as she settles in. With time, kindness, and structure, she has the potential to become a deeply bonded companion.

More about this rescue
We are a volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill shelter.
Visit our website at HeartofRI.org for an in depth view of our policies, procedures, fees, and exactly what they include.
Unfortunately, due to past issues with landlords/housing/insurance, a restricted breed policy is in place for Bully breed/Pit Bull type dogs. This means that you must own your home and provide proof of homeownership to adopt a Bully breed/Pit Bull dog or puppy. While we understand that this may be an inconvenience, it is necessary to help reduce the number of devastated dogs being returned. We apologize for the inconvenience.
