My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I can be met at Tractor Supply 1253 Route 311, Patterson, NY 11am to 1pm on Saturday, Jan 10th. (Since we have been having snowy/icy days, please check our website the morning of the event in case there is inclement weather and we need to change the event: https://pawsafe.org/events/ )

🐾 Meet the "Snowball Seven": 8-Week-Old Husky Mixes!
Status: Professional Nappers & Full-Time Heart-Stealers Age: 8 Weeks Breed: Husky Mix (50% Let’s Go, 50% Chaos, 100% Love)
Are you looking for a companion who is part “wolf” (not really just great vocals), part teddy bear, and all personality? Look no further! This litter of seven is officially ready to trade their puppy breath for a forever couch. At eight weeks old, they have mastered the art of the "Husky Woo-Woo" and are currently majoring in Zoomies with a minor in Competitive Snuggling.

What to Expect from This Crew:
• The Signature "Awoo": They’re already practicing their vocal cords. Whether they’re happy to see you or think dinner is 30 seconds late, they’ll be sure to tell you all about it!
• Sweetness Overload: While they have that classic Husky spark, these pups have a massive "sweet tooth" for affection. Expect plenty of puppy kisses and "lean-ins" during ear scratches.
• Smarty-Paws: They are bright, curious, and very motivated by treats (and praise... but mostly treats).
• Adventure Buddies: Whether it’s a hike in the woods or a chaotic trip to the pet store, these pups are ready to explore the world by your side.

How to meet dogs listed with "NY" :
If the dog is listed with an 'Avail date" and a (location) - the dog cannot be met until the event and it is a first come, first served adoption event with the dogs being met in the order the potential adopters sign in.

If the dog is listed as being in a (foster home ie: Foster in Carmel) please email us at info@pawsafe.org and we will set up an appointment for you to meet the dog(s) that interest you at their foster home(s).

**** We are sorry, but we cannot adopt to Massachusetts residents. This is a Ma Dept. of Agriculture policy, not ours.

Additional adoption info

Our volunteers have made a commitment to ensure that the animals we place will be in their new home for life.

Once an application is submitted, a volunteer will work with you to meet the puppies that interest you.

Please plan on meeting the animal you are interested in adopting. Although the pictures and descriptions may show the "perfect" pet for you - nothing replaces an actual meeting!! You can not place an animal on hold. This is unfair to both the animal and other potential adopters.

ADOPTION FEES:
Please read the Q&A's on our website for adoption fee information and what is included.

Learn more about what we do and why we do it!

PawSafe's dogs and puppies stay in both foster care and are kenneled. If you are interested in a specific dog please make an appointment so we can be sure the dog is at the shelter when you'll be visiting. Otherwise you are welcome anytime we're open!

Visit our shelter at:

If you'd like to bring a donation for the dogs, we're always in need of old towels, sheets, paper towels, laundry detergent, and bleach.

More about this shelter

We work very closely with rescues in southern states to find new homes for dogs and puppies who deserve a family despite their state of origin.

Most of the puppies in our care come from over-crowded shelters in states with extreme over population and high kill rates. Our main goal is to place orphaned and unwanted animals into loving permanent homes.
