If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Andy is a four-year-old English Shepherd who is sweet, sensitive, and deeply loyal to his people. He bonds closely, loves being near his person, and is calm and gentle, happily settling beside you. Outdoors, he is playful and goofy and enjoys tug, chasing balls and sticks, and exploring. Andy does well with other dogs, especially off leash, and thrives on calm routines and predictable days. His anxiety and strong herding instincts make busy, child-filled homes overwhelming, and fast movement or stressful handling can push him past his comfort zone. His reactions are fear-based, not aggressive; during nail trims he has given clear warning growls and has nipped when extremely frightened. Andy is exceptionally house trained, affectionate, can be left alone for 8–9 hours, travels well in the car, easy to brush, not easy to bathe, and is friendly with guests once inside. He needs an adult-only, calm, experienced home where his boundaries are respected.
