Have ya met Crenshaw? Well I have and I am obsessed!!
This boy is so, so smart! He learns quickly what pleases his people and is happy to oblige them! He is very attentive when it comes to his people! He knows where they are at all times and makes sure they are safe!
He plays very gently with smaller dogs and puppies and likes to keep the order! He definitely sees himself as the adult in the room. He seems to prefer smaller dogs but would do fine with a confident bigger dog.
Always alert and aware, Crenshaw has your back. He listens and pays attention to everything you do and say. He's great on a leash and loves to walk.
But, he's not without his quirks.
He takes a bit of time to trust new prople and new situations. His fosters have been working on his "stranger danger" and he's doing much better at meeting new people, but his adopter should expect to continue his socialization. He also does not do well in a crate. After weeks of working on it, he really wants to be close to his people. He might not make a great apartment dog as he does cry and whine in his crate when no one is home, but does settle down after a bit. One of his fosters found crating him in their room at night helped. His current foster just leaves him uncontained at night and he does great , sleeping all night on the floor next to her.
Crenshaw is an amazing boy, but will require an owner who is a good leader who can set boundaries. He will also need both physical exercise and mental exercise. He loves training time as much as he loves walks!!
