My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Current Location: Arnold, MD

Meet Bunny: A Bobtailed Beauty with Soulful Eyes

Some cats are named for what they look like. Bunny earned her name for something far more special: that adorable bobtail that gives her a bunny like charm all her own. This tabby and white girl is draped in the most magical shades of gray, with gorgeous stripes swirled and softened like morning mist, making her a living work of art.

At first glance, Bunny is sweetly reserved, taking her time to assess this new world around her. But she's the most friendly of her siblings, and once she decides you're trustworthy, she'll show you just how affectionate she truly is. Look into her eyes, really look, and you'll find something remarkable. Bunny has mastered the art of eye contact, offering you glimpses into her gentle soul with those steady, trusting gazes that seem to ask, "Could you be the one?"

She may be shy at first, but she's also deeply affectionate in her own quiet way. Scoop her up into your arms and she settles in, content and calm. Offer her gentle scritches and she'll lean into your touch, rubbing against you with pure contentment, those beautiful eyes never leaving yours, as if to say she sees you too.

Bunny needs a patient heart, someone who understands that the most meaningful connections aren't rushed. Someone who will appreciate her understated elegance, her soft beauty, and the way she communicates love through lingering looks, contented sighs, and those sweet moments when she rubs against you asking for affection.
If you're searching for a companion who will truly see you while you admire her, Bunny is waiting.

MEET AND GREETS

We primarily rely on meet & greets for potential adopters. Approved adopters may meet adoptable animals at the home of the animal's foster, or possibly in the adopter's own home.

More about this rescue

Operation Paws for Homes, Inc. rescues dogs of all breeds and ages from high-kill shelters reducing the numbers being euthanized daily. We provide foster homes where they can get the love and attention needed before finding their forever homes. Our organization provides pet adoption services in Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, and parts of Southern Pennsylvania. Operation Paws for Homes, a 501(c)(3) organization, is 100% donor funded and could not save these dogs and fulfill their dreams of being united with their forever families, without the dedication of our incredible adopters, fosters, donors and volunteers. Sadly, without our help, all of these adoptable animals would face almost certain euthanasia - usually within days or hours of arriving at the shelter. Each year we take in hundreds of wonderful animals who were left at shelters by no fault of their own.
