My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Queen — A Gentle Soul Ready to Be Cherished

Queen is a beautiful 1-year-old tortoiseshell who has already been through more than any young cat should. Found outside as a friendly stray, she had been abandoned and was severely malnourished. Tragically, due to her condition, Queen went into labor prematurely and lost her kittens while in care. With proper nutrition, safety, and lots of loving attention, she has healed—and is now truly living her best life.

Today, Queen is affectionate and full of personality. She absolutely adores being petted and will happily flop down at your feet to ask for more. She has a playful, kitten-like energy and delights in chasing toys and exploring her surroundings.

One of Queen’s favorite pastimes is birdwatching, so a home with sunny windows or a favorite perch is a must—she considers window time essential royal entertainment.

Queen tolerates other cats but would likely be happiest as the only cat in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention she deserves. A quieter household without very young children would suit her best.

Queen has known hardship, but she’s ready for a life of comfort, love, and devotion. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion with a gentle heart, Queen is ready to rule your home.

More about this rescue

Laurel Cats runs a fostering and adoption program through our inhome foster network, partnership with the Laurel Petco, and partnership with Maryland-based Last Chance Animal Rescue, Inc. Friendly cats and young kittens found on our streets are fostered at home by Laurel Cats volunteers and then adopted through our social media marketing, Petco program or Last Chance at PetSmart.
