Sabrina is very friendly, sweet, loving, playful and relatively active, but also a calm cuddler-who is content to just lie in your arms and likes being held like a baby. She also can be independent if you work a regular 8 hr day, but definitely enjoys interacting with humans and other cats too. Sabrina likes being around her mama Xena, and she will sweetly greet her by rubbing her face against Xena’s. Sabrina would be fine as long as she has at least one person to cuddle with, but would also fit into a multi-cat household. We expect she will be good with kids given her demeanor, though she has not interacted with any yet.

First adopters fill out an adoption application. After our volunteers do a vet check to make sure that your current animals are up-to-date on their vaccinations and such, we will do a short and informal home visit. The final step in the process is signing the adoption contract.
Adoption fees are as follows:
-Kittens (under 1 year) are $150
-Cats (over 1 year) are $125
-Puppies (under 1 year) are $250
-Dogs (over 1 year) are $200

The Humane Society is committed to creating the awareness of animal rights throughout the Romeoville community by providing numerous animal welfare programs, including pet adoptions, humane education and cruelty investigations. ALL animals available for adoption are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, fecal tested, fiv/felv tested (cats only), heartworm tested (dogs only) and microchipped. It is the policy of the Romeoville Humane Society to spay or neuter all animals in its care in an effort to reduce the homeless pet population.
