Meet Sophie — the sweetest scruffy girl you’ll ever meet.
Sophie is a petite 9-month-old Terrier mix with a soft gray coat, white-tipped toes, and the most soulful brown eyes. She was loved deeply by her owners, but when they were deployed, she needed a new place to land. She handled the transition with grace and has quickly become a favorite everywhere she goes.
Sophie is gentle, cuddly, and has a playful puppy spirit. She loves following her person around, lounging by your feet, and taking in the world with her curious little head tilt. She has great manners for her age, is good with other dogs, and warms up quickly to new people. Once she trusts you, she’s the kind who nudges your hand for affection and then melts into your lap.
Sophie would thrive in a home where she can be someone’s companion, whether it’s slow mornings, walks around the neighborhood, or movie nights on the couch. She has a soft heart and is ready to bond deeply with her forever family.

Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Pep's Pals Rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc.).
Our adoption fee is $600 plus health certificate ($50) and transport ($200 for most locations). This adoption fee includes all current basic vaccinations, deworming, microchip (with lifetime registration), and a heartworm test. Spay may not be done for a puppy yet due to age. All dogs are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a health certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of transport.
