Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Raleigh
Raleigh is a handsome, athletic boy around 2 years old and about 35 pounds, with a short tan and white coat, bright expressive eyes that make him especially striking. In his photos, you can see his alert gaze and relaxed posture—he’s confident, curious, and always taking in the world around him. His slightly folded ears give him a thoughtful, endearing look that matches his eager-to-please personality.
Raleigh came to us from animal control and he has shown us just how much love and joy he has to give. He has a ton of energy and would thrive with an active adopter who enjoys walking, jogging, hiking, or simply keeping a consistent daily routine. He would make an excellent walking or running partner and will do best in a home that understands a young dog needs both physical exercise and mental enrichment.
Despite his high-speed mode, Raleigh has a wonderful off switch. When he’s done zooming, he’s a total love bug who enjoys snuggling and settling at your feet. He is very friendly and outgoing and truly wants to be everyone’s best friend.
Raleigh is dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and kid-friendly, though because of his enthusiasm he may accidentally knock over smaller children. He enjoys playing with other dogs and would love a canine friend who can match his energy and help show him the ropes.
He already knows basic commands like sit and down, and he’s very smart and food motivated, which makes training enjoyable and effective. He is currently working on polite greetings—he can jump when excited, so continued training and consistency will be important. Raleigh will benefit from:
—Ongoing basic obedience training
—Positive reinforcement and structure
—Daily exercise and enrichment
—Clear boundaries and routine
Like all dogs, Raleigh will need time to decompress and adjust in a new home. Patience, consistency, and commitment to training will help him continue to grow into the well-mannered companion he’s capable of being.
If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate, active dog who will keep you moving and reward you with endless loyalty and cuddles, Raleigh may be your perfect match.
