My name is Roger Paws!

Hi! My name is Roger, and I am a 19-month-old German Shepherd born on May 6, 2024. I was surrendered through no fault of my own due to my previous owner experiencing a divorce and needing to relocate to a smaller living space.

I enjoy going on walks and can get a little enthusiastic, so I am currently working on improving my leash manners and heel. I love to play and would do best in a home with older children (13+), as I’m not as comfortable around younger kids.

I’m friendly with other dogs but prefer slow, proper introductions, so dog parks are not the best environment for me. I know my basic commands—sit, down, and stay—and I’m very smart and eager to learn. I can be vocal at times, which is typical for my breed.

I do well in a kennel, but I need regular exercise and mental stimulation to stay happy. Without it, I may chew on things. I’m highly food-motivated, so a slow feeder is recommended. I also shouldn’t be left outside alone for long periods, as I may dig when I get bored.

Overall, I’m a loving, loyal companion who does great with people and will shower my forever family with affection. I’m ready to find my perfect home and can’t wait to meet you!
