Funshine Bear is like a giant cotton ball - soft, fluffy, and irresistibly cuddly. He’s an outgoing, friendly boy who loves everyone he meets and makes himself right at home wherever there’s affection to be found. Funshine happily climbs into laps to nuzzle into necks or hair and will always seek out a warm spot to cozy up. Belly rubs and cuddles are among his favourite things, and he’s never far from his people. When he’s not snuggling, Funshine loves to play. Springs, pipe cleaners, and bouncing balls are his top toys, and he’ll confidently scale even the tallest cat tree. No matter how high he climbs, he always comes back down to cuddle with his sweet, shaky brother, Share Bear, showing just how strong their bond is. Funshine does great with kids and other cats and will tolerate a calm, friendly dog. Funshine is bonded with his special-needs brother ShareBear and they MUST be adopted together so they can continue providing each other comfort, companionship, and love.
Kittens under the age of nine months MUST have another age-appropriate cat or dog in their home, or as otherwise noted. PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO SUITABLE APPLICATIONS FOR SIBLINGS.

Meet & greets are either in person with the foster and cat or virtual, at the discretion of the foster.

We are currently in the adoption centre at PetSmart Etobicoke, where we have a limited number of cats and kittens. All of our available cats can be viewed on our website.

Home at Last Rescue (HALR) is a Registered Canadian Charity, that is 100% volunteer driven. Our goal is to rescue cats from substandard living conditions and give them the loving homes they deserve.
We provide medical care, emotional support and a loving environment while preparing them to find their forever homes. With no physical location, all of our cats and kittens reside in loving foster homes across the Greater Toronto Area until they are ready for adoption.
We receive no government funding and rely solely on adoption fees, donations and our fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. We believe there is a home for every cat and a cat for every home.
