Charlie is a 7-month-old, 50-lb pit bull bursting with love and energy. He adores his people—especially children—and is always eager to please. Charlie gets along great with other dogs and would love a playful canine companion who can match his energy level.
He enjoys playing in the backyard and loves his toys. While he would benefit from a little more practice walking on a leash, he doesn’t pull at all. Charlie has no interest in cats and simply ignores them, so a home with cats would be just fine.
Charlie is crate trained and happily goes into his crate when asked. He enjoys relaxing with a squeaky toy or a chew bone while in his crate. He also does well on car rides and sits nicely.
Charlie is affectionate and loves giving hugs, so he just needs gentle reminders to be careful around kids—he listens well and truly wants to make his people happy. He already knows the commands “sit,” “cage,” “potty,” and “outside.”

The dogs/puppies in our organization have been rescued from high-kill animal shelters located in Illinois and Indiana.
