If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We acquired Clay from a co-worker who moved out of state for a new job. She was going to take him to the shelter and asked my husband and I if we could take him since we have experience in German Shepherds. We didnt want him to go to a shelter and drove to Austin, Texas to go pick him up. Unfortunately, our 3 other German shepherds are not accepting him into the pack and cannot be kept together due to safety. Since adopting Clay, we know he is 5 1/2 years old and up to date with his vaccinations and was recently neutered October 2025. Clay thrives in a back yard where he can run and play. He loves squeaky toys and is extremely food motivated! He knows basic commands such as sit and down, while eager to learn more. He is a very vocal boy who loves to sit by your side and would do well being the only dog in the home. He has shown great watch dog abilities and is crate trained. We will be providing his 50 lb bag of food, chew toys, and his crate for his new home.
