Cocoa
Cocoa is a 1 year old Dachshund-Nova Scotia Duck Tolling retriever mix of 22 pounds. She and her 7 1-year old siblings were all dumped at the shelter by their owner who could not find homes for them.
At risk of euthansia, several rescues stepped in to give the dogs a chance at finding their forever families. Cocoa and her brother Hershey are with Rompin Paws Rescue.
Cocoa came in scred and exhausted. After a good nites rest and a couple of large meals, she was ready for some lap time and love. Cocoa has met many of the small dogs in the rescue and one large Shepherd puppy and has done very well with them. She is non reactive and just wants to explore or be loved.
Both these breeds make great poets and the Duck Tolling Retriever who is the smallest hunting retriever and of a Candian ancestry, is a family friendly dog who is very loyal and loving.
