Heart

Meet Heart—named for the irresistible orange-beige heart marking right on her forehead! This curious little explorer believes life is best experienced together and will happily follow you from room to room to stay in the loop. She’s known to climb from your leg straight to your shoulder for a better view and loves curling up in your lap while you work. Heart is gentle, social, and gets along wonderfully with dogs and other cats. Playful and creative, she can turn almost anything into a game (hands are reserved for loving pets only!). With her adventurous spirit and sweet nature, Heart brings joy wherever she goes. Heart is also fully litter box trained.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

The first step in adoption from Texas Rustlers is to fill out an application online: https://www.theguineapigrescue.com/adoption-application

2.
Approve Application

Our volunteer staff will process your application as soon as they are able and get in touch with you via email about your application.

3.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

Once you're approved, we'll schedule an appointment on a Saturday between 9AM-5PM. You can meet and select your furry friend then!

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

A contract will be signed during your adoption appointment.

5.
Pay Fee

Our store cashier will process your adoption fee and help you select all supplies you may need. We accept cash, check or credit/debit card.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Bring a pet carrier or at least a towel lined laundry basket with you to transport your new friend home!

Additional adoption info

Guinea Pigs: Piggies are adopted in pairs, unless you are needing a single piggy for a piggy you already have.

Bunnies: Adopted as pairs or singles.

Both: Currently bonded pairs will NOT be split up.

We do require an approved application be on file prior to scheduling a visit
