Meet Lacy! She is a gorgeous 3 year old German Shephard mix that is down on her luck. Recently Lacy found herself in a crowded high kill shelter after being shot in the leg. A good samaritan called animal control who took her to the shelter and the person who reported it agreed to foster Lacy while she recovered.
Our rescue stepped in to get her vetted and she is now healed from the leg injury and she is spayed, vaccinated, and micro chipped. Lacy did test positive for heartworms which is very treatable and the rescue will assist with this also.
We are seeking a new home for Lacy asap as she cannot stay with the current foster very long. We have not been able to adequately test her with other dogs or children, so at this point we are looking to place her in a home as an only dog and with no small children until we learn more about her.
If you can foster or adopt, please reach out o Julie on 919 624 0059. Lacy needs someone to step up for her.
