Onyx is a playful, affectionate, and curious cat who loves being involved in whatever his people are doing. We adopted him around one year old, and the shelter described him as “the sidekick,” a description that fits him perfectly. He thrives on companionship and enjoys being part of daily life. Over time, and especially with major household changes, he developed stress-related behaviors that made it difficult for him to coexist safely with other pets and very young children. We have worked closely with our vet for several years and have tried a variety of management and behavioral approaches, but his needs now exceed what our home can safely provide.
Onyx would do best as the only pet in a home without very young children. In the right environment, he is a genuinely sweet, playful, and engaging companion. He was our first baby and is deeply loved, and we are committed to finding him a home where he can feel secure, valued, and truly part of the family.
