My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Watson, a handsome young adult neutered male Cocker Spaniel mix (we suspect he may have some poodle in him as well), weighing about 30 lbs! Watson and his brother Sherlock were sadly dumped in east TN. They were taken in by a Good Samitaran who wanted to help but was unable to keep them. We then took them into rescue and placed them in a loving foster home. They have been fully vetted and are ready to head up to New England to find their furever homes! (They are not a bonded pair and are not required to be adopted together).

Watson is a sweet, friendly boy who is good with other dogs, people, and kids. He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats.

He is medically up to date, mostly housebroken (expect accidents first few days while adjusting to a new home/routine), and crate trained. Apply to meet this dapper gentleman today!

**Watson will be arriving in New England on 1/10 and will be available at our Dayville, CT adoption event on 1/11 (pre-approved adopters only - please submit an application now if you are interested in meeting and potentially adopting Watson at the event!)**

Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding!

More about this rescue

Paws Rescue League Inc. Rescues the dogs that need saving. We believe ALL dogs deserve love, happiness, and a family. We don't just take in the puppies, or the young fully vetted dogs who are quick to adopt. We take dogs of all ages, all sizes, all breeds and we do our best to find the best family that matches their needs. We work with our adopters to make sure they are supported, and the process is as stress free as possible. We are a 501(c)(3) non profit rescue, that is run by volunteers.

Currently we are NOT adopting to residents of MASSACHUSETTS OR MAINE. We will update our website when we are able to serve those areas. Thank you!
