This helps Speak! Rescue and Sanctuary with pet care costs.
Lovely Layla is what everyone loves about Labs: She’s sweet, loving, playful, happy-go-lucky, and easy-going. She wags her tail at any human or dog and really, is up for anything. Layla is the sweetest puppy who loves to play with other pups, but is really happy snuggling with her person on the couch. She likes to play tug, race after balls, and do the zoomies.
Layla walks well on a leash, is fantastic in her crate, and has great recall. She’s learned sit, come, and “drop it” which is key for Labs who pick up everything! She thinks all dogs are fantastic and can ramp up the energy when the dog is bigger and plays harder. But she’s also very respectful of dogs who don’t want to play.
Layla had surgery to hopefully correct an ectopic ureter, which caused some urinary leakage. We are very hopeful that the procedure will have made a big difference. Because she will need to follow up with the experts at the University of Missouri, Layla will need to find a local forever home in the St. Louis area.
Layla would also like someone who is home most of the time and would prefer a physical fenced yard. She sure would love to have someone who is smitten with Labrador retrievers and their fantastic personalities.
