My story

Reintroducing… Kiki!

Meet Kiki, a stunning 1 year old northern mixed breed who’s truly one of a kind. Maybe a little husky, lab, shepherd… but 100% sweetheart.

Kiki came to us in April 2025 after making the long trip from Attawapiskat with a broken leg. Thankfully, her bones were already healing, and with some crate rest and lots of TLC, she made an amazing recovery. You’d never know she was ever injured, she now runs, plays, and keeps up with the fastest pups in her foster home!

Kiki is happy, adventurous, and full of joy. She loves ripping around open fields with her dog friends, playing hard, then settling in for the coziest naps. She’s food-motivated (especially loves carrots ), walks nicely on leash, and is as sweet as they come.

She does well with other dogs but would prefer to be the only other dog in the home.

Kiki is house trained, crate trained, knows her “place,” and will stay until released. She’s an incredibly good girl and very affectionate with her people.

Kiki is currently in a board and train program with our wonderful friends at stylek9dogtraining and will need a foster, foster to adopt, or adoptive home in the coming weeks. Her adoption fee was previously reduced to $375, and we are keeping it there despite the significant cost of her training, because Kiki deserves every chance at her forever home.

Bonus! If you’re local to Niagara, McMahon Dog Training Academy has generously offered Kiki’s adopters a free obedience course!

Could Kiki’s happily ever after start with you?
