Hi, I'm Wendy, a young cat who loves a quiet corner and gentle pets. Here in the shelter, I've become known for my sweet, mellow nature. I spend my days dreaming of a cozy lap to curl up on and a window where I can watch the world go by. I cherish the moments when volunteers come by to say hello; their gentle strokes and soft words make my day. If you're looking for a calm companion to share peaceful days with, I'm the perfect match. Adopt me and let's enjoy the simple joys of life together.

The Stone County SPCA was organized in 2009 and opened a shelter in 2012 in Wiggins, MS. We have always been a no kill shelter. Our biggest challenge is the high demand to place dogs and cats in our shelter. Currently, we take in approximately 1200 animals annually. We do not euthanize animals for lack of space. We have a live release rate of 95%. We do this by keeping adoption fees low and transporting a large percentage of our animals (65% of our dogs and puppies).
