Trixie is living in a foster home in Fort Atkinson, WI

Meet Trixie 💕
Trixie is a petite, about 1-year-old girl whose favorite place in the whole world is right next to you. This sweet, low-energy love bug lives for being held, snuggling with her human, and soaking up one-on-one attention. If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate companion, Trixie may be your perfect match.
She adores couch time and bedtime and has happily mastered the art of burrowing under the blankets. At night, she sleeps soundly through the night in bed and makes an excellent snuggle buddy. Trixie is also very low vocal and enjoys a peaceful, relaxed environment.
While she’s not a fan of the kennel, she is kenneled while her foster is away for her safety and does just fine — she simply prefers being near her people whenever possible. Because of her people-focused nature, Trixie would thrive in a home where someone is around more often than not.
In her previous home, Trixie was potty-pad trained, and she has done extremely well transitioning to going potty outside in foster care. She lived with multiple dogs and cats before, but is currently enjoying being the center of attention and having all the love to herself. She may be happiest as an only pet or in a calm home where she can continue to blossom.
If you’re searching for a gentle, affectionate, low-key companion who wants nothing more than to curl up under the covers and be your constant little shadow, Trixie is ready to steal your heart.

Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Our rescue adopts to Wisconsin and Illinois. Our requirements for Illinois applications are: excellent vet history, no children under 7 in the home, and an owned home. Wisconsin does not have these requirements, though we will not consider applications where pets are missing core veterinary care.

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once
approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250.
