My name is Robbie!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!

A Note from the Foster: Robbie is doing well. She’s come out of her shell to reveal a very sweet, smart, cuddly and funny little girl. She gets along with all of my resident dogs, but her favorite is my guide dog, Samurai who doesn’t love her back. Sam tolerates her cuddling into him on his bed whilst chewing on one of her benebones. Robbie loves to play and gets Ruby, Suzy and Beau to play with her. She hasn’t had any interactions with cats or small humans, but I don’t see her having any issues other than getting a bit mouthy when playing with me. We are working on it, but small children may not be a good option. Robbie is pretty much house broken and loves to go outside to relieve or if she’s in a hurry she relieves on potty pads. She’s only had one accident in the house in the past two weeks. My sister takes her outside for leash walks, and Robbie loves the snow and is slowly getting better on her leash every day. Robbie loves to chew, but is easily redirected to her Benebone. She hasn’t chewed on any shoes or clothing, although she loves to grab my socks as I take them off and secure them in her lair, which also contains toys and every Benebone she encounters. I am pleased to report that she doesn’t resource guard any of her treasures; she just collects them. Robbie is not an alpha, but she knows how to handle my alpha female and alpha male without irritating them. Robbie will take a little time to warm up to her adoptive family, but when she does she will be an absolutely loyal, loving, sweet member of her forever family!
