If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We adopted Guinness from a no-kill shelter 10 years ago as a kitten. He's part Maine Coon, so he's big. He's healthy. He loves to sit across your chest over the heart. He enjoys playing but with his size, he's a little clumsy so it's entertaining to watch.
He enjoys napping in his favorite spots, especially high up on cat trees or dark rooms. He loves being groomed and will push right into the brush to enjoy this feeling. He likes listening to birds and squirrels either in an enclosed porch or on Cat TV on YouTube. He loves his food and tells us when his belly is hungry, even "leading us" to his bowl.
We believe Guinness might be happier as an only cat with a quieter home and one where he can continue climbing on cat trees, getting more attention, and snuggling in bed (or across your heart in a chair). We have an expensive special needs cat that he does not like, which is the only reason we are making the tough decision to re-home him. He has lots of life and character to enjoy.
