This is a hard post to write, but I want what’s best for my little guy. Chewie is a 7–8-year-old deer-headed Chihuahua. I love him dearly, but our busy, kid-filled home has become overwhelming for him. He’d be much happier in a quiet, adult home with lots of calm and cuddles.
Chewie is neutered, house- and crate-trained, very cuddly, and loves to sleep under a blanket. He knows basic commands, is treat-motivated, enjoys car rides and walks, and is up to date on shots. He occasionally has mild tummy issues a couple times a year that resolve with rest per the vet. He was attacked by a large dog in the past, so he’s nervous around big dogs but may warm up to gentle, smaller ones.
He’d thrive with a retired couple or older single person, ideally with a fenced yard or leashed walks. If you’re looking for a sweet companion to keep your lap warm, please reach out — I just want the best home for him.
