We feel the same way about OUR Oreo! He is an 11-month-old mixed breed who currently weighs 50 pounds. Oreo is a laidback dog that gets along with other dogs. He thinks cats are for chasing, so a home with no feline friends is best. Kids are great, but let's say over 12 years old, as he likes to "herd" them by nipping at their ankles. He enjoys playing with all types of toys and interacting with people. He is a loving boy who loves pets, belly rubs, and puppy cookies!

Our team will work on your application. Once approved, the foster parent will contact you for a meet and greet.

Meet the Pet
The foster will reach out to set up a meet and greet.
4.
Take the Pet Home
If everyone agrees that the adoption is a good fit, you will sign our contract, pay their adoption fee and the dog can go home!

Pawsitive Tails does not have a physical location. All of our dogs live in loving foster homes throughout the Kansas City and Topeka area. This allows fosters to get to know each dog personally, so we can find the very best home for them.

As a foster based rescue, every person with Pawsitive Tails is a volunteer. Because we do not have a facility, we do not have “open” hours but can be contacted between 8am and 9pm.
Can I stop in to visit dogs and play with puppies?
No. We require an approved application to be on file before meeting our dogs/puppies. In addition, our dogs live in foster homes, so we must work around the foster parents’ schedule.
