My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Winnie is a high-energy, fun, loving, sweet, and friendly, six-month-old, 65-pound, female Yellow Labrador Retriever looking for a loving guardian.

Winnie is an active and fun-loving dog who enjoys her walks, jogs, playing ball, and playing with other dogs. She’s fun to bring to the beach, and she didn’t mind getting her feet wet, but it’s winter so she didn’t swim.

In the home, Winnie is active but settles down for a snuggle. She is a little nervous with new people at first, but loves absolutely everyone including children in a little time. She’s a loyal and loving companion. She is crate-trained and mostly housebroken.

Winnie landed at Friends of Petraits Rescue when her family realized two full time working adults and three kids is not the best home for her. She’s looking for someone with the time to train and exercise her daily.

If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Winnie, please fill out an adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/dog-adoption-application/ and follow up to meet her by e-mailing friendsofpetraits@gmail.com

Winnie is healthy, vaccinated for rabies, distemper, heartworm tested negative, on monthly heartworm preventative, and micro-chipped. Winnie’s adoption fee of $500 benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue. She will be getting spayed this Wednesday, January 7th.

She is being fostered in Chicago.
