My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome boy may be FeLV positive, but what truly defines him is his big personality, playful energy, and undeniable love for food. If there’s a treat bag rustling, he’s already on his way. Mealtime is his favorite event of the day, and treats are the fastest way to his heart.

He’s playful, curious, and always ready to explore, especially if snacks are involved. After playtime (and dinner), he happily turns into a cuddle bug, curling up close and purring with contentment. He’s the perfect mix of silly, affectionate, and food-motivated charm.

He is social, people-oriented, and thrives on routine. FeLV does not mean he can’t live a happy, fulfilling life. With routine vet care, a stable home, and lots of love (plus snacks), FeLV-positive cats can thrive and enjoy life to the fullest.

If you’re open to adopting more than one kitten, he would do wonderfully being adopted with one or both of his siblings. FeLV-positive siblings provide each other companionship, confidence, and built-in playmates, making the transition into a new home even smoother.

He’s not just looking for meals. He’s looking for his person… preferably one who believes in second helpings. 💛🐾

About FeLV
FeLV, or Feline Leukemia Virus, is a feline-only virus that affects a cat’s immune system. It is not contagious to humans, dogs, or other animals. FeLV simply means this kitten should live indoors and in a home without FeLV-negative cats, or with other FeLV-positive companions. Many FeLV-positive cats live happy, love-filled lives for years with routine vet care and lots of affection.

More about this rescue

The HSVLC is a non-profit organization that only rescues animals based on available foster homes and funding. All of our dogs and some of our cats live in foster homes. Loving families have taken them in and are caring for them until they find their furrever home. We also house many of our cats at our office location. We have four cage free rooms dedicated to housing our resident cats. You can stop by our office during business hours to visit our residents or contact us in advance to schedule a visit with one of our fosters.
