Hi, I'm Hoda. The world feels a little big and loud to me right now, and the shelter can be scary. I'm a gentle soul, and I do best when things are calm and quiet. If you speak to me in a soft voice, I'll listen closely-even if I'm still a bit shy at first. I may not rush to greet you, but with patience and kindness, I start to feel safe. One of the quickest ways to my heart is a slow, gentle chin scratch. That's when I relax, lean in just a little, and show you the sweet cat I really am. I'm looking for someone who understands that love can be quiet and trust takes time. If you have a peaceful home and a tender heart, I think we could help each other feel safe. Primary Color: Calico Weight: 7.6 Age: 0yrs 6mths 1wks

More about this shelter
Founded in 1955, Woods Humane Society is a nonprofit organization which receives no tax funds, but is supported by donations, grants, bequests, fundraising events and fees for services. Woods is independent of San Luis Obispo County Animal Services, but works in close cooperation with them and other animal groups in the county for the welfare of all animals.
Woods now cares for over 3,000 cats and dogs each year at our facilities in San Luis Obispo and Atascadero until they can be united with loving forever families. We bring in animals from other shelters where they are less likely to be adopted and from individuals who are no longer able to care for their pets. Woods is committed to finding loving homes for all healthy and treatable pets, no matter how long it takes. With our behavior and veterinary resources, we are able to go the extra mile for animals in need.
