My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Acai is pure joy wrapped in a big, beautiful white Dogo body. She came to the shelter in rough shape, but thanks to a loving foster home, she has blossomed into a strong, healthy, constantly smiling girl. Seriously-Acai looks happy all the time. True to her Dogo Argentino roots, Acai is athletic, confident, and full of life. She loves to run, chase balls, rearrange her room, and finish every adventure with plenty of kisses. Shes affectionate and loyal, sticking close to her people like the natural family protector she is. She is also a gentle giant, and when she met 3 kids, she was super sweet with them. Acai knows sit, paw, stay, and usually comes when called-though her excitement sometimes gets the best of her! Because of her size, intelligence, and energy, she will thrive with structure, routine, and continued training. Due to the strong prey drive common in Dogo Argentinos (they were bred to hunt large game), Acai requires a securely fenced yard. Acai is ready for a home that understands her breed, appreciates her joyful spirit, and is excited to continue helping her grow into the incredible dog shes meant to be. To meet her, please fill out the contact form below to get in touch with her foster parent.
