Hello! I’m Saki, and my foster mom says I’m the gentlest girl she’s ever known. In Japanese, my name means “hope” or “blossom,” and I’m hoping for a forever home where I can continue to blossom! I spent the first part of my life as a mother for a breeder, but since arriving in Minnesota this past November, I’ve been fully embracing the puppy-free lifestyle. These days, my needs are simple: a soft bed, a warm lap, and plenty of love (though I’m always open to treats, too!). Here are three reasons why you’ll love me: First, I'm a loyal shadow - I follow my people everywhere. You’ll never be lonely with me around! Second, I'm social & sweet. While I can be a little shy with new humans, I love meeting new dogs and have even become fast friends with my foster family’s cat. Finally, I'm very low key and I seldom bark. My favorite things to do are to curl up with my people and nap but I also do enjoy leisurely walks. A little about my health & habits: I do have limited vision in one eye due to a cataract and retinal stenosis, but it doesn't stop me from enjoying life! I’m also still working on my potty training, but I'm doing well as long as I go outside on a regular schedule. Because I’m still getting used to being a member of a family, I need a forever home that already has a doggy friend who can help me gain confidence. If I sound like your kind of girl, I can’t wait to meet you!
