My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Boots is a tiny, gentle-hearted cutie with big quiet guy energy. He’s the definition of go-with-the-flow — no drama, no chaos. Boots is a follower through and through and does best either as an only dog or with a chill, kind canine friend who wants a cuddle buddy, not a hype man.

He’s not here for loud, high-energy households or nonstop action. Boots prefers a calm, cozy home where life moves at a softer pace. He absolutely shines with gentle kids who want a furry friend to cuddle, follow them around, and quietly supervise playtime like a tiny emotional support manager.

Boots is crate trained, potty trained, puppy-pad trained, and fully house trained — though he’s politely stealthy about asking to go out. He’ll post up silently by the back door and wait, hoping you notice. (He is not a barker. He is a vibes only communicator.) When left alone too long, his sensitive side shows — he can get vocal and stressed — so a work-from-home human or someone home often would be his dream setup.

Food is nice, but not his whole personality. He’s more of a grazer than a gobbler. He knows “sit” and “down” and will happily perform them when he’s feeling motivated — and yes, he is extremely proud of himself when he gets it right. Gentle correction, patience, and kindness are the keys to his heart.

Boots isn’t your typical Aussie when it comes to energy or play style. He’s more of a professional observer than an athlete. He adores watching kids play, content to be nearby without needing to be involved. If a sweet, small dog invites him to play, he’ll join in for a bit… then promptly clock out and return to relaxing.

His favorite activity? Couch time. Specifically, laying on his back while someone rubs his tummy until he falls asleep.

He’s still working on leash and collar training (RIP to his last collar), but once Boots feels safe and secure, his quirky, loyal, snuggly personality really starts to shine.

Boots is a silent shadow, a tiny companion, a soft place to land. In the right calm, loving home, he will attach himself to your heart — and stay there. 🤍🐾

Go meet their pets

After being approved by a team member, you'll be able to schedule a meet and greet with the pup that best matches your needs.

All of our pets are in private foster homes and many times the meeting will happen in a safe public location.

All animals are available to begin their home trials once the meeting has concluded and the rescue agrees to allow the pet to move forward to this stage.
