We rescued Odie when he was six months old while living in Texas. He is now 12 years old. While he is still a very sweet dog he has never really bonded with the kids. They try to play with him, but he just wants to play with me. As our family has grown and he has gotten older he seems more depressed and isolated. He seems to get anxious around the noise and activity that our children bring, but is not aggressive.
He does still occasionally play fetch and tug-of-war but not for a long duration. He mostly sleeps or sun baths outside.
My hope is that he can find a home that is not as busy as ours and only getting busier.
