Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Olive, a beautiful 2-year-old female Siberian Husky with a heart as big as her fluffy coat and striking eyes.
Olive's story is one of incredible resilience and second chances. She was surrendered to a high-kill shelter after being used for breeding, and when she arrived, she had very recently given birth—only to have her precious puppies taken from her. The heartbreak was visible: she was utterly devastated, withdrawn, and soon diagnosed with severe pneumonia that landed her on the euthanasia list.
That's when our rescue stepped in. We refused to give up on her. Olive spent several weeks in the hospital receiving intensive treatment—we spared no expense to get her healthy again. Thanks to dedicated veterinary care and a lot of love, she made a full recovery and is now perfectly healthy, strong, and ready for her forever chapter.
She is fully vaccinated, spayed (so she never has to endure the pain of losing another litter), microchipped, and up to date on all her care.
Olive is a sweet, affectionate girl who craves gentle attention and patience. She's been through so much loss and hardship in her young life, and now she just wants to feel safe, cherished, and adored. She may need a little time to build trust, but once she knows she's loved, she gives it back tenfold with loyal companionship, husky cuddles, and those classic dramatic Husky vocalizations.
If you're an experienced dog owner with plenty of patience, time for daily affection, exercise, and mental stimulation, Olive is dreaming of a quiet, loving home where she can finally just be a happy, spoiled pup. No more shelters, no more using her body, no more goodbyes—just endless belly rubs, adventures, and the security she deserves.
Olive is ready for adoption now. Could her forever family be yours? 💙

Our Adoption Process
We're thrilled you're considering adopting from us! Bringing a new pet into your home is an exciting journey, and we're here to make it as smooth and joyful as possible. Our process is designed to ensure the best match for both you and your future companion, prioritizing their happiness and well-being.
Step 1: Browse and Find Your Match
Start by exploring our available pets online or visiting our shelter in person. Take your time to read their profiles, view photos, and learn about their personalities, needs, and backgrounds. If something catches your eye, note their name or ID—we update listings regularly!
Step 2: Visit and Interact
Come meet the pets you're interested in during our open hours. Spend time playing, cuddling, or walking to see if it's a great fit. We encourage bringing family members (including kids) and any current pets for introductions, especially dogs, to help ensure everyone gets along.
Step 3: Adoption Counseling
Chat with one of our friendly adoption counselors. We'll discuss the pet's medical history, behavior insights, and any special needs. This is your chance to ask questions, share details about your home and lifestyle, and get tips on training, care, and settling in.
Step 4: Complete the Application
Fill out a simple adoption application (available on-site or online in advance). We'll review it quickly, often the same day. Be ready with ID, proof of address, and any landlord approval if you're renting.
Step 5: Finalize and Take Home
Once approved, pay the adoption fee (which covers spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and more), sign the agreement, and welcome your new family member home—usually the very same day!
Adoptions are first-come, first-served, and we don't place holds, so visit soon if you've found "the one." If things don't work out, we're here with support and a return policy.

More about this rescue
At our rescue, we are deeply committed to saving lives by pulling animals from overcrowded public shelters, where limited space and resources often lead to heartbreaking euthanasia for healthy, adoptable pets. By transferring these deserving dogs and cats into our foster-based care, we provide them with the individualized attention, medical treatment, and rehabilitation they need to thrive—far beyond what many shelters can offer due to capacity constraints. This vital work not only gives each animal a second chance at a loving forever home through our careful adoption process but also frees up critical space in shelters, allowing them to save even more lives. Choosing to rescue from shelters means combating pet overpopulation at its source, reducing unnecessary euthanasia, and ensuring every animal we place is matched with a family where they can flourish.
