CHARLOTTE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Charlotte Best Guess for Breed: Golden retriever and poodle mix (goldendoodle)
Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of January 2026 SEX: Female
Approximate Weight: 26 lbs as of 1/5/26 - she is at least 10 pounds underweight at this weight
Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!
Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter - needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here
Charlotte is Looking For: Charlotte arrived in our care emaciated and severely matted. She has closed that chapter and is eagerly looking ahead to her new one, the one where she gets loving humans for sniffy walks and romps and world exploration. Making pup pals along the way would be great too. And - daily brushing down to the skin and regular professional grooming is a must. Mats hurt and she doesn't want to go through that again!
Most of all, she wants to be safe and loved, to know where she belongs. In exchange she promises loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say? Is she the one you see by your side?
What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once she has spent time in foster care.
