This is our handsome boy Canelo. We got him when he was 7 weeks old. He is good with his kids, my niece grew up with him. Our girl had a liter of pups 3 years ago and we kept a male pup. We noticed Canelo become jealous and more territorial when his son was 2 years old. Recently, both Canelo and his son got into a fight and unfortunately we have to rehome him. He is a sweetheart and loves to be pet only when he comes to you. If he’s laying down or has a toy, treat or is eating, he doesn’t like to be pet. He’s territorial (as you may know Dobermans are) when he has a treat or something like a shoe or toy or ball. Whenever he gets our outside shoes, we have to him a treat or distract him with something else so he can let go of the item and then we would be able to take it away. 😅 He is not neutered, he is up to date with vaccines. We recently updated his rabies shot for 3 years. He does not have any health concerns that we know of.
