HOW TO ADOPT: This cat is participating in our Shelter Cat Getaway foster program, which gives cats a vacation from the shelter and lets them enjoy home life while they wait to be adopted. To schedule a time to meet this cat, please contact Mary at mmccarroll@arl-iowa.org

- Large, handsome and loving cat

- Stressed around dogs and other cats and needs to be the only pet in his new home

- Has done well with children of all ages who are gentle with him

- LOVES Fancy Feast pate canned food - it's his favorite!

- A wonderful, affectionate cat who wants to be near his humans and lay his paw on you when he sits next to you on the couch

- He likes to "talk" to you and will let you know when he wants you to sit down so he can gets come pets and lovin'!

- He is also fine doing his own thing; not too clingy

- Looking for a home with patient family members who will give him time to open up and let him take things at his own pace. He does best when he starts out in his own room and is slowly introduced to the rest of the house over a few days/weeks

- Will be a wonderful companion and friend for a calm, patient person who loves the quiet life just like he does

All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age)
